Nomination Period

Nominations begin at 9:00am on February 20th, 2023 and end on March 6th, 2023 at 5:00pm. Please note that late and/or incomplete submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances. All Nomination information shall be submitted using the official nomination form found here.

 

NOTE: For all electronic submissions, documents must be word files, or e-mail texts. No pdf files will be accepted.

 

Election Information Session

If you are interested in running for a position in the WCSA Spring General Election, you are encouraged to attend an information session on February 27th, 2023 at 6:00-8:00 pm over zoom (https://utoronto.zoom.us/j/8749879227, Meeting ID: 874 987 9227)

 

All Candidates Meeting

You are required to attend the All Candidates Meeting in order to ensure your candidacy in the election. The All Candidates Meeting will take place on March 7th, 2023 at 5:00 pm on Zoom (https://utoronto.zoom.us/j/8749879227, Meeting ID: 874 987 9227). A recording will be sent to all candidates who cannot attend.

 

Campaign Period

The campaign period is from March 8th, 2023 at 12:00am to March 16th, 2023 at 5:00 pm. You are expected to read the WCSA Election Policy and strictly adhere to it for the duration of your campaign. The policy may be found on the WCSA website under Governing Documents. All posters and flyers must be approved by the CRO. You may bring them to the All Candidates Meeting to be signed if you have them prepared. 

NOTE: Campaign period begins after the all candidates meeting.

 

Candidate Speeches

The candidate speeches will take place on March 16th, 2023 at 5:00 pm over Zoom (https://utoronto.zoom.us/j/8749879227, Meeting ID: 874 987 9227). You are not required to give a speech, but it is strongly encouraged. All candidates will be given an opportunity to submit a recorded speech to be uploaded onto the WCSA website after the event. 

 

Voting Period

The voting period will be taking place from March 17th, 2023 at 12:01 am to March 23rd, 2023 at 11:59 pm. Voting will be done through https://utoronto.simplyvoting.com/, and may be accessed by using a UTORid. All Woodsworth College students are eligible to vote. No campaigning is allowed during the voting period beyond publicizing the fact that the election is happening and you are a candidate. To do so will result in an election policy violation.

 

Appeal Period

The appeal period will be from March 24th, 2023 at 12:01am to 26th, 2023 at 11:59pm.
