Portfolios and Committees
Social Committee:
The Social portfolio is run by WCSA’s Vice President of Social Affairs, Ashley Vadivelu, alongside the Associate Director of Social Affairs, Francyves Shanira. This portfolio aims to host academic support events, de-stressing activities, and initiatives that unite students across our college to strengthen our community. In addition, this team operates the Social Committee in which interested students can volunteer their time - while earning a CCR credit - to help out with different initiatives and events undertaken by the portfolio. A few fun events that the social portfolio is responsible for include Red Party, the annual Gala in the spring, and overseeing Orientation Week at the beginning of the year. Even if you decide not to join the Social Committee, we hope to see you at one of our events this year! If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions, please feel free to reach out via email (vp.social@mywcsa.com and associate.social@mywcsa.com) and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

The committee is in-charge of maintaining and updating the WCSA website, actively running WCSA’s numerous social media accounts, and overseeing the print and online presence of WCSA. The committee is an ideal opportunity for all Woodsworth students that are interested in editing, graphic design, writing, website design, social media management, etc. All committee members are eligible to receive CCR recognition for their participation in the committee. Some events include WCSA’s annual mental wealth week, exam destressors, workshops regarding UofT’s mental health resources, reflective sessions that encourage individuals to think critically about mental health and how to best approach theirs, amongst many others!
