Associate Director of External Affairs (1)
Stephanie Idoko
Hello Woodsworth!
I’m Stephanie, a 4th year Life Science student, and I am running for the position of
Associate Director of External Affairs. You may have seen me around during Orientation Week
or at various WCSA events, as I like to stay involved and support the community in any way I
can!
I previously served on the board as your Mental Health Director, and now I am eager for
this new role that still focuses on helping students. Serving in this role over the summer gave me
insight into its responsibilities and challenges. As Associate Director of External Affairs, I hope
to make it easier for student clubs to connect with WCSA by streamlining communication and
simplifying the process of starting and maintaining clubs. I want every student to feel supported
and confident in bringing their ideas to life.
Vote for support! Vote for clearer communication!
Vir Singh
Hi Woodsworth, I’m Vir, and I’m running to be your Associate Director of External Affairs! I
would absolutely love to be a part of WCSA cuz working alongside the team for O-week this
August was one of my absolute favourite experiences at UofT so far, and so being able to
represent Woodsworth and helping host events that everyone can enjoy sounds like lots of fun fr.
VOTE VIR and I’ll do my best to make Woodsworth a community that feels like home for all of
us.
Kind Regards,
Vir
Community Outreach & Sustainability Director (1)
Oafe Cheung
Inside you are two wolves…
One is telling you to vote in the upcoming WCSA elections, and the other one is telling you to
vote for Oaf(e) the Wolf.
What’s good everyone! My name is Oafe, and I’m excited to be running for Community
Outreach and Sustainability Director! I’m stoked to involve myself in the Woodsworth College
community, and give back to a place that has allowed me to find my place and form meaningful
friendships.
While I’ve only been a student at UofT for 6,7 weeks, I’m prepared to bring my past experiences
as a former executive student council member and speech club president to ensure that I
represent the best interests of the Woodsworth student body, and be sure to do it loud and proud.
All bark, no bite.
Some wolves walk alone, but I intend to walk for all of you. Vote for Oaf the Wolf :]
Aliya Hermadi
Hi Woodsworth! My name is Aliya Danish Hermadi, and I’m running for Community Outreach & Sustainability Director.
Ever get excited about an event? Me too—that’s my goal for our community. I want everyone to
have fun and get the most out of being part of it.
I co-created Toga Indonesia, a youth-led project promoting health and herbal plants, and I’m in
the marketing division for the UofT Indonesian Students Association. With this experience, I’m
confident in my ability to manage events, turn ideas into action, and connect with people.
I hope to organize and support activities that are worth your time and meaningful, like Trash-to-
Treasure competitions (where you get rewarded for throwing trash), DIY workshops you can
take home, Sustainability Fairs, bike-to-campus day, eco scavenger hunts, and more. Above all, I
want us to enjoy our time and build meaningful connections!
Amy Miao
Hi everyone! I’m Amy, and I’m passionate about building a more connected, compassionate, and
sustainable Woodsworth community. Over the past few years, I’ve led and collaborated on
initiatives that strengthen student engagement and social impact, including founding Tulip
Mission, a mental health nonprofit that raised funds for the Canadian Mental Health Association,
organizing fundraising campaigns with UNICEF UofT, and supporting event logistics with the
Woodsworth College Orientation Committee. My experience on the Oakville Mayor’s
Environmental Council sparked my commitment to sustainability and community advocacy. As
Community Outreach & Sustainability Director, I aim to create initiatives focused on charity,
food security, and environmental action, empowering students to make a lasting impact both
within Woodsworth and beyond!
Equity Commissioner (1)
Hoogol Abedian
Hey Woodsworth! I’m hoping to be equity commissioner again and run fun and inclusive
events for our student body this year! I got to meet so many incoming students at orientation this
year, all coming from different backgrounds and I’m so excited to make our college an
environment we can all thrive in. We’re hoping to begin our BIPOC and LGBTQIAS2+ affinity
groups, as well as maybe some fun joint events with other parts of the board! So vote for me
because I can’t wait to keep working on making Woodsworth an accessible place where we can
all feel welcome and listened to!
First Year Students' Director (2)
Nayra Kore
Hi! I’m Nayra, a candidate for WCSA’s First Year Student Director. About two months ago, I
flew 15,875 km away from my home Bali to Toronto. Since then, every day has been a new
adventure to embark on. Like me, you too have travelled a distance to be here — while some
trips are longer than others — that journey nonetheless led us to the same place at WCSA.
Through WCSA, I aim to spearhead an engaging and supportive community of freshmen that
will stand by each other. I will do this as a friend — supporting you in any way I can, also as a
representative, ensuring your aspirations are heard, articulated and manifested tangibly. I’m
geared with leadership and volunteering experience (e.g. my non-profit and debate club) which
will help me navigate this role with empathy, humility and responsibility. With this, I’m
committed to fulfilling the best interest of First Years by heart!
Sophy Leung
Hello everyone! I’m Sophy Leung, a first-year Social Sciences student at Woodsworth from
Vancouver. I’m running for First-Year Students’ Director because I want to make our first year
at UofT exciting, supportive, and memorable. As a former student leader in my high school
music ensembles, founder of the chess and eco clubs, and volunteer at my local hospital and law
firm, I’ve learned the value of teamwork and communication. I hope to bring these experiences
to WCSA by creating more ways for first-years to connect and share ideas—through feedback
forms and collaboration with mentors. I also aspire to enter the legal field, where I can continue
advocating for justice. WCSA is a great place to start by representing and uplifting our first-year
community. If elected, I’ll work hard to represent our voices and help make Woodsworth feel
like home. Let’s make our year unforgettable together!
Eva Lu
Hi! My name is Eva and I’m running to be your First Year Director! Why me? Because I’ll make
sure to plan events that’ll make your first year not only memorable, but meaningful. By the end
of the year, I want Woodsworth to feel like a supportive community filled with joy and
connections. As a competitive dancer of 12 years, I know what it means to work as a team, put in
the effort, stay positive, and bring energy into every space. As a leader, I’m confident in my
abilities to lend a hand, and be an individual others are comfortable sharing their concerns and
ideas with. I’ll handle all the boring stuff, so you can enjoy all the good stuff! I’m excited to
contribute more into the Woodsworth community, so let’s make this year even more awesome!
Nandini Murali
Hi everyone! My name is Nandini, and I am running to be your First-Year Students’ Director!
As we know, the transition to college isn't easy, but with interactive and engaging events, we can make the most of what first year has to offer us. As someone who has actively participated in dancing, singing, and volunteering since a young age, I’ve learned how to work in strong teams, and more importantly, the value of building meaningful connections. These passions have not only brought me joy but also taught me the power of collaboration, creativity, and compassion.
As your First-year Students' Director, I’ll bring that same energy and dedication here. I’ll be
there to lend a hand when needed in planning events, as well as have an open ear to all ideas
from all first-year students. I’m committed to making Woodsworth an open and inclusive space.
Together, we can make this year unforgettable.
Eunbee So
Hi, I’m Eunbee So, a first-year Humanities student focusing on International Relations and
Economics, and I’m running for First-Year students’ Director because I know starting university
can be overwhelming. As someone who moved to Toronto for university, I understand what it’s
like to adjust to a new environment and find your community. I want to create events that help
first-years connect beyond Orientation Week, improve communication so your ideas reach the
student association, and make academic and mental-health resources easier to access. I’m
approachable, reliable, and love connecting people, and I’ll make sure every first-year feels seen,
supported, and confident navigating life at Woodsworth!
Deepika Verma
As a first-year student at Woodsworth College, I feel that it is my duty to give back to my
community and learn more about how college events are organized and held. I am applying for
the position of First-Year Students Director, as I want to be able to represent first-year voices by
encouraging events that will help create inclusion and celebrate diversity across the college. With
my experience founding and leading my school's very first Model United Nations (MUN) and
Future Business Leaders of Canada (FBLC) teams, I have the skills of working with integrity
under tough deadlines, organizing logistics, managing teams, and resolving technical and
administrative issues. With these abilities, I intend to improve the involvement of first-year
students within the Woodsworth College community, regardless of whether they are on-campus
or commuting.
Off-Campus Students’ Director (1)
Kevin Deng
What does the word home mean to you? To me, home isn’t just a place; it’s a feeling of
belonging and love. Every Woodsworth student deserves more than just a spot on campus and
the title of “Woodsworth College”; they deserve to feel seen, supported, and part of something
real. Whether you’re five minutes or fifty kilometers away, I’m committed to making sure you
feel at home here. As the Off-Campus Students’ Director, I’ll build a stronger, more inclusive
community through bigger, better events at Woodsworth. I will arrange WCSA Wednesdays that
actually bring us together and a Commuter Appreciation Week that celebrates what makes off-
campus life unique. I lead by listening, collaborating, and turning ideas into action. Let’s make
Woodsworth a place where everyone belongs, no matter where you’re coming from. Together,
we’ll create a community that feels like home, full of fun and joy!
Ibrahim Khan
My name is Ibrahim Khan and I am a third year undergraduate student running for the position
of Off-Campus Students’ Director. I bring years of experience in leadership, team management,
and event planning and logistics from my time serving as an executive for numerous student
organizations, as well as Logistics Director for Woodsworth Orientation 2025. Having
experienced the exhausting commute that many Woodsworth students take has made me deeply
passionate about representing you on the board. As Director, my focus will be on expanding the
services provided to off-campus students to make their university experience easier, such as an
appropriate storage system, social events for off-campus students in collaboration with the
Residence Council, and improving on and expanding our current breakfast program and our
Commuters’ Lounge. Vote Ibrahim for Off-Campus Director to make your commute a lot easier!
Woodsworth College Residence Director (1)
Hattrick Cota-Schuryk
Representation, inclusivity, and excellent academic support are just some of the fundamental
ideals Woodsworth College is built upon. As an orientation leader, I got to uphold these
principles, meeting students coming with different experiences who each get to bring something
special to this community. I, Hattrick Cota-Schuryk, want to run as the Director of Woodsworth
College Residence to further support this community. In my time in residence, I had
opportunities to plan events with the floor reps, feed everyone on WCSA Wednesday, connect
with resident staff, members of the Dean’s office, and WRC members. I also had the absolute
pleasure of being Shaver during O-week, helping to raise the spirits of many students, and to be
the symbol of Woodsworth. Through WCSA, I will continue to contribute to this College and
keep finding ways to support the student body in any way I can.
Areeb Naeem
My name is Muhammad Areeb Naeem (MAN), and yes I intentionally bracketed my initials
since it’s unique.
I’m the House Representative of the 2nd Floor of the Woodsworth Residence Building, but
before that I am just your friendly neighbour. I love to chat and get to know more about people
so never hesitate to reach out to me if you need anything.
Before university, I created a educational technology startup called Crack Education with over
1M users and 6M website visits, so I’m dedicated and hardworking.
We do not have a dining hall which results in there being less sense of community and closeness
between members of the college. My focus would be to fix this problem having an inclusive
environment with multiple events covering many niches to unite everyone together as one.
