Nomination Package

Thank you for your interest in a position on the Woodsworth College Students’ Association (WCSA). Please read the following instructions carefully.

*INITIALS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. PLEASE INSERT AN IMAGE OF YOUR FULL SIGNATURE*

Failure to meet any of these requirements will result in the recusal of your nomination:

• You must be an active student of Woodsworth College, as defined by the Registrar of Woodsworth College, who has enrolled in a minimum of one half-credit or one pre-university course during the current calendar year.

• You must not be on academic probation.

• You must be nominated by a minimum of ten (10) Woodsworth College students if you are seeking election to a Director position. WCSA strongly suggests that you gain signatures beyond the minimum, as each student number will be reviewed by the Registrar’s Office.

• You must be nominated by a minimum of twenty-five (25) Woodsworth College students if you are seeking election to an Executive position. WCSA strongly suggests that you gain signatures beyond the minimum, as each student number will be reviewed by the Registrar’s Office.

• You must include a personal statement of no more than 850 characters (includes spaces) - this will be listed next to your name on the ballot.

• You must attend the All Candidates Meeting or send a proxy on your behalf if you are not able to attend.

• For the position of Academic Bridging Students’ Director, the candidate must have been a student of the Academic Bridging Program.

• For the position of Mature Students’ Director, the candidate must be a Mature student for the year in which they will be holding office, as deemed by the Registrar’s Office.

• For the position of Upper Year Students’ Director, the candidate must be an Upper Year student for the year in which they will be holding office, as deemed by the Registrar’s Office.

• For the position of Part-Time Students’ Director, the candidate must be a Part-Time student for the year in which they will be holding office, as deemed by the Registrar’s Office.

• For the position of Off-Campus Students’ Director, the candidate must be residing outside of the University campus for the year they will be holding office.

• For the position of International Students’ Director, the candidate must be or have been an international student, as deemed by the Registrar’s Office.

• For the position of Indigenous Students’ Director, the candidate must be a student who has an ancestry or is descended from or self-identifies with Indigenous peoples in Canada
